Handmade and handpainted these boxes will withstand the test of time. They are very heavy
and sturdy and the wood and appliques are made with the finest wood.
I started to make these boxes for a need of storage. Beautiful storage I should say. They quickly turned into much more than storage boxes. After a friend of mine received one as a gift, and placing it behind the counter of her boutique, people started to call and begged for me to make them. I found people were using them as beautiful plant holders, gorgeous center pieces for Halloween filled with candies and spiders, Christmas centerpieces filled with silver balls and greenery for the table, Easter displays stacked with pastel eggs and candy baskets. Some even used the boxes in their studios to organize their catalogs, papers, and favorite craft books. A friend of mine used her's for her kitchen counter to hold breads and olive oils, another for her goodies such as cookies and cakes, another used for her favorite cook books beautifully displayed on her kitchen counters. My Mother uses her's in her craft room to hold miles of ribbon and yarn. I use mine to hold old photos, cards and letters. I even have an aunt who has two dead husbands buried in her's !!! These boxes would make wonderful gifts for a soon to be bride, the box filled with lovely gifts for her wedding night. A keepsake gift for a new baby, a treasure box to hold her first momentos. The list goes on and on. I have given each box a slightly worn look, and we feel with age, the boxes will become even more charming.
